New 2019 Models Will Be Debuted and Motorcycle Lifestyle Celebrated
TORONTO (January 15, 2019) – The one-month countdown has started for Ontario’s biggest motorcycle manufacturers’ event of the year, the Toronto Motorcycle Show, presented by Dalton Timmis Insurance, February 15-17 at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place.
This is the only show to see the 2019 new model introductions of motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and side-by-sides from the world’s top brands, along with the latest in riding apparel, accessories, touring destinations, and other exciting motorcycle lifestyle exhibits. There’s a wide-range of special features for riders of all ages and experience levels, and those interested in learning to ride.
One of the special features is She Rides Night, Friday, Feb. 15 – a celebration of women who ride, and the perfect opportunity for any motorcycle-curious ladies to take the first step in their riding adventure. A recent survey by the Motorcycle Industry Council in the U.S. found that nearly one in five motorcycle owners are female, and that’s almost doubled in the last decade. At She Rides Night, ladies will get ½ price admission after 5:00 pm, the chance to enter to win a Kawasaki Versys X300, and the opportunity to connect with other female riders.
The show falls on the Family Day weekend and there will be lots for children to see and do at the three-day show. The Yamaha Riding Academy For Kids introduces children aged 6-12 to the world of riding, with hands-on certified instruction and riding gear provided in a 15-minute riding session on the latest Yamaha TT-R off-road motorcycle.
Kids of all ages will be wowed by the Stunt Shows featuring Canadian star Craig Latimer, and the precision riding skills of the Ontario Provincial Police Golden Helmets aboard their Harley-Davidson Police Specials.
Riders of all levels can learn some great tips and techniques like riding over obstacles and on gravel roads at the “How To” Sessions hosted by Clinton Smout, one of the country’s leading motorcycle training experts.
Saturday show-goers can enter for a chance to win one of two Kawasaki Z125 PROs as part of the Kawasaki Double-Take Giveaway.
“This year’s theme ‘Your Show. Your Way’ celebrates the variety of rides and riders in the sport, and all aspects of the motorcycle lifestyle,” said Toronto Show Manager, Neil Fardy. “We’ll also showcase the latest innovations and technology on two, three and four-wheels with the biggest line-up of 2019 new models from the best in the business. It’s the perfect place to get your motorcycle fix before the new riding season begins.”
The brand line-up includes Aprilia, BMW Motorrad, Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Honda, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Slingshot, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa and Yamaha.
Show hours are: Friday, February 15 (noon – 9 pm); Saturday, February 16 (10 am – 8 pm); Sunday, February 17 (10 am – 5 pm). Discounted tickets are available online through the website’s box office and at selected dealerships. They are $2.50 off online and $3.00 off at the dealers.
